This manufacturer needs an Electrical Engineer II who will do electrical design, testing, validating innovative products from start to end, and assist with other electrical projects. You will report to the Engineering Manager.

What you will be doing:
Take over the electrical design responsibilities from the senior design team on new products, complete them, and bring them into production, including certification and qualification.
Design PCBs and schematics, as well as power electronics, controls and automation for products
Support or lead multiple projects concurrently.
Create and / or adapt firmware and / or software to enable intended control functionality.
Establish new product BOMs and manage change process on current production machines.
Create or direct the creation of assembly and sub-assembly drawings and release to production.
Participate in building and testing of engineering prototypes and circuit boards to meet UL and EN/IEC standards.
Maintain state-of-the-art awareness of relevant product technologies, analysis methods, design tools and methodologies.
What they are looking for:
BS in Electrical Engineering is required, but an MS would be preferred and would allow less years of experience.
5+ years of technical experience with PCB components design, electrical schematics, power electronics and electrical circuitry of products from concept to production is a requirement.
Proficient in PCB and electronics design software (they use Altium).
Capable of using accepted formulas and manuals in making necessary computations to determine load capacities, strengths, etc.
Must be innovative, creative and a critical thinker.
Able to write embedded software (C and/or C++) would be a plus.
Experience testing products and seeking UL or EMC/EMI certifications is a plus.
