Who We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking a motivated commercial construction Assistant Project Manager with 3 years’ experience working in construction, design, architecture, engineering, or a related field. The right hard-working Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating the activities of a project to ensure costs, schedule, document control, and quality standards are met. Our Assistant Project Manager supports the Project Manager and Superintendents through continuous learning, and the ability to take on distinct roles while effectively working with clients, architects, subcontractors, and coworkers. Successful candidates will be able to share their passion for and dedication to getting the job done and confidently represent the firm, including committing the firm on schedule and cost matters within approved parameters.
What You’ll Do:
Our new Assistant Project Manager will partake in coordinating, developing, managing, and implementing all facets necessary to construct the project on time, within budget, and to the quality specified. A day in the life of an Assistant Project Manager involves providing assistance to the Project Manager through construction planning, scheduling equipment deliveries, facilitation document distribution, and serving as a liaison between project team members and the community with the common goal of promoting the interests of both the firm and clients in all matters. Assistant Project Managers work directly with the Project Managers, Superintendents, and Project Executives to provide technical expertise regarding cost estimates, negotiate contracts, change orders, and establish project objectives to ensure project success. If you are motivated by working efficiently in a fast-paced, multi-task environment with multiple project relationships and competing priorities, this may be the perfect fit for you.
What You Bring To The Table:
· A minimum of 3 years of experience working in construction, design, architecture, engineering, or related field, and at least experience with one school project of $20+ million-dollar.
· Experience in overseeing at least one ground-up build.
· Proficiency in PlanGrid, Procore, and Sage 300 Timberline, Textura preferred.
· Organized, with great attention to detail.
· Well versed in Excel and all MS Office Programs.
· Strong and proactive communication (written, phone, and in person).
· Ability to work well with colleagues, subcontractors, vendors, architects, designers, and the community.
