Engineering Drawings Checker
Responsibilities
- Review existing and new drawings and designs to verify they meet current AIST, CMAA & AISI standards
- Review calculations to determine that the calculations match the detailed part
- Verify that designed and detailed parts match the fit, finish and dimensions complete
- Verify assembly drawings and bill of materials are complete and accurate
- Determine if detailed design is functional and can be fabricated without difficulty
Education/Experience
- 15+ years experience in Mechanical Design, weldment design or crane design
- Good design and detailing skills
- Proficient in reading all types of drawings
- Extensive experience in fits, tolerances and Autodesk software (AutoCAD & Inventor a must)
- CMAA or AIST knowledge a plus
