Our client is a very well established manufacturer of special machinery--they have an immediate need for a CMM Operator
Position Summary:
The CMM Operator operates CMM equipment to perform measurement, inspection, and testing of production materials and components using previously prepared inspection programs. The CMM Operator documents and reports non-conforming part geometry and dimensions and performs in-process/final inspections.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Use engineered drawings to create programs and operate CMM equipment to measure parts per engineering specifications;
· Determine quality (pass/fail) of manufactured parts based on dimensional inspection;
· Complete and maintain detailed and accurate dimensional inspection reports and analysis of inspection data;
· Maintain quality standards using acceptable housekeeping practices and 5s processes on equipment and work area;
· Be responsible for the operation and upkeep of all the measuring equipment, including calibration;
· All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of a AS engineering degree or equivalent work experience
Experience reading & interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications
Previous experience with a wide range of precision measuring equipment including CMM in a manufacturing setting is preferred
ISO training is a plus
Must have strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and closely follow directions is essential
Should have a positive and professional attitude
Work Environment:
Office / Manufacturing environment. Employee may be occasionally exposed to moving equipment, mechanical parts in motion, risk of shock and other hazards associated with a manufacturing environment such as overhead cranes, welding, machining.
This is an office-based position that requires walking, sitting, standing, bending, reading, seeing, hearing, speaking, concentrating, and effectively communicating.
