Plant/Production Manager (Plastics Products Manufacturing & #1 Role)

Initiating a search for a PLANT/PRODUCTION MANAGER+ (PLASTICS PRODUCTS MANUFACTURING & #1 ROLE) with a successful, growth oriented (organic/acquisitive), privately-held, regional/national, multi-site (and state) manufacturer that offers a team-oriented and entrepreneurial culture/work environment. Our client is seeking a dynamic, servant-oriented and career/growth-oriented leader to lead/manage/optimize high-volume, technically rich manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee resource structure, allocation and staffing levels to accomplish optimal production while meeting and/or exceeding customer expectations.
Coach, develop and mentor the plant leadership team.
Partner with Human Resources to ensure plant rules and practices strategically and tactically enable teammates at all levels to achieve targets. Build-on effective standards for performance at all levels.
Lead safety and quality managers to ensure appropriate procedures are developed and consistently executed to the highest standard of performance.
Enforce all safety rules and regulations, as required by local, state, and federal government mandates, including all rules established by plant management, steering committee, and the plant safety committees.
Devise and review new procedures, methods of quality control and production control, and reports data indicative of the plant's performance and consistent with modern statistical process controls and ISO Standards.
Facilitate, build-on and coach continuous improvement methodologies and problem solving. Develop budgets based on sales forecasts and monitor spend and execution for all plant departments.
Participate and manage the purchase of new machines and equipment, and plans layouts to facilitate material flow. Oversee site capital plans and execute against spending targets.
Responsible for adherence to all current and future environmental regulations and ensures proper and legal disposal of all waste products generated by the plant.
Represent the company in community activities in a manner that reflects a high positive image.
Attend all meetings and conferences required, leading the discussions and explaining aspects of the plant operations, performance, costs, plans, and programs. Maintain contact with new developments in plant practices, machines/equipment, costs, productions methods/methodology, personnel policies, material flow, and management techniques, as may be applicable.
Education/Experience/Certifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration and/or Manufacturing Technology
Proven track record of successful accomplishments in a manufacturing operation (plastics manufacturing/extrusion/injection/related.)
10+ years’ demonstrated leadership/management/people development experience…ability to build and motivate high performance teams to produce quality outcomes within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage competing priorities.
Excellent collaboration, relationship building & communication skills.
Quantitative and analytical skills, ability to analyze data, determine key information and develop action plans that show value and win business.
Mastery of project management, change management & conflict management skills.
Salary $120K - $160K, bonus potential, relocation assistance and attractive benefit package.
