Requirements:
Must have a valid teaching license in the state of Wisconsin. Candidate must hold PK-8 or Middle Childhood to Early Adolescence (grades K-8) Cross-Categorical Special Education or combination of licenses covering grade levels K-8.
Must have a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Education.
Must be certified to teach Special Education in WI.
Description:
We are currently recruiting a Special Education Teacher to work with a major charter school system located in Milwaukee, WI. You will have the opportunity to work in a challenging environment with the reward of impacting children's lives.
Special Education Teachers are responsible for working with students that experience emotional, learning, and physical disabilities and are eligible for special education programs and services as determined by an IEP committee.
Special Education Teachers will identify students with special needs, organize student caseloads with an effective IEPC system, and establish and implement strategies to deal with disabilities.
Special Education Teachers may also work with at-risk students within the general education population and in the general education classrooms in conjunction with the support they are providing to students with special needs.
Special Education Teachers are considered regularly scheduled employees and we look forward to their return in the following years.
