Overview:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing and supervising the accounting, financial, and administrative functions of the company. This role involves leading a team of accountants and ensuring efficient operations across various accounting disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Manage, supervise, and oversee the assigned administrative staff, including functions such as Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Payroll (PR), and Job Costing.
Operational Efficiency: Provide direction to ensure effective performance in accounting, personnel administration, commercial reporting, statutory reporting, and related functions.
Project Coordination: Supervise and coordinate accounting and administrative activities across project offices as needed to support overall business objectives.
Relationship Management: Establish and maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions to support corporate activities in alignment with company policies.
Audit Collaboration: Coordinate with external auditors during annual and special audit functions to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Cross-Department Support: Offer administrative support for other departments and projects to assist in their operational needs.
Management Direction: Follow general management direction from the immediate supervisor to achieve departmental and company goals.
Background Profile:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting.
Experience: Minimum of eight years of construction accounting experience or equivalent combinations of education and experience.
Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of standard accounting procedures, company policies, and the requirements of construction contracts.
Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for success in this role
