Electrical Engineer

As a long-standing family-owned business, this company has strong international roots and has set the benchmark in the road construction industry. They are seeking an experienced Control Engineer to join their team in Orlando, FL. The role focuses on developing and improving process control systems, supporting equipment installation, troubleshooting, and applying automation advancements. The position reports to the Technical Director.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with teams and customers to define project requirements and solutions.
Support during installation, commissioning, and operational phases.
Troubleshoot process control and automation issues.
Stay updated on advancements in industrial automation and apply them to improve equipment performance.
Develop and evolve PLC/PC-based process control systems and digital solutions.
Serve as a resource for process controls for both customers and internal teams.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering (Master’s degree or dual in computer science preferred).
Minimum GPA of 3.2.
2–10 years of relevant experience.
Knowledge of C++, Rockwell Automation, Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, and electrical components.
Familiarity with industry standards and codes (e.g., UL, NEC, NFPA, CSA, IEC) is desirable.
Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
Willingness to travel (up to 25%).
