Job Description:We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician to join our dedicated healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care for individuals and families, managing a wide variety of medical conditions across the lifespan. General Responsibilities:
Provide primary care services to patients of all ages (for Family Medicine) or adults (for Internal Medicine), including diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care.
Perform routine physical exams, screenings, and health assessments.
Diagnose and manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, and more.
Prescribe medications and provide counseling on lifestyle changes and wellness strategies.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., lab work, X-rays) to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with patients, offering guidance and support for overall health.
Educate patients on disease prevention, health promotion, and lifestyle choices.
Collaborate with other healthcare providers and specialists to deliver coordinated care.
Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic medical records (EMR).
Adhere to quality standards and patient care protocols.
Qualifications:
Able and willing to provide treatment to patients of all ages, including basic women's health.
Able and willing to perform well woman exams including breast exams.
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
Have a clean record.
Must be comfortable with EMR - Epic.
Valid state medical license in Alabama.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
Experience in a clinical setting preferred, but new graduates are also encouraged to apply.
Work Schedule:
Monday thru Friday 8am - 5pm
On-Call: Phone call coverage rotation
