My client, a Global, Multi-Billion dollar, metals manufacturing corporation, is looking for an AUTOMATION ENGINEER to join their maintenance and engineering team at their state-of-the-art manufacturing operation, located in Davenport, IA. It’s one of the company’s oldest and best-established manufacturing sites. Stable organization and work environment.
The Automation Engineers are responsible for managing systems engineering in the areas of automation and computer systems to contribute to the achievement of the Manufacturing Unit's safety, quality, and cost objectives.
Excellent low cost of living region with good access to schools, universities, and other mid-sized city amenities. Nice balance between Rural & Urban communities.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident. Unfortunately, my client cannot provide Visa Sponsorship at this time.
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Computer, Software Engineering or related discipline is a must.
3 to 5 years of manufacturing experience in the development of HMI/SCADA systems is a must.
Experience developing Wonderware strongly preferred.
Must have experience working with electrical systems – Allen-Bradley PLCs.
Understanding of TCP/IP networks is a must.
Experience in SQL programming and relational databases is a must.
Experience in building client/server applications is required.
Experience in multi-threaded applications development is required.
Software skills in software analysis, design, methodology, and architecture is a must.
Experience in Windows operating system management and configuration as it pertains to a networked manufacturing environment is required.
Must be able to work with electronics troubleshooting Technicians on the shop floor.
Strong communication skills required.
COMP: $100K to $120K+ & 10% Annual Bonus
