ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY – EMINENT DOMAIN & CONDEMNATION LITIGATION
Location: South Carolina (Columbia, Greenville, or Charleston)
Our client, a prestigious law firm in the Southeast, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join their Eminent Domain & Condemnation Practice in their Columbia, Greenville, or Charleston office. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated attorney to work on complex commercial real estate litigation, including eminent domain and condemnation matters, in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Candidate Profile:
JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
Active bar admission in South Carolina.
3–5 years of substantive experience in commercial real estate-related litigation.
Demonstrated proficiency in handling hearings, discovery, and depositions.
Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex legal research.
Experience or interest in areas such as eminent domain/condemnation, property rights, land use, zoning/entitlements, real estate development, commercial real estate transactions, or real estate litigation.
A client-focused mindset and ability to manage multiple matters efficiently in a high-volume practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Represent property and business owners, as well as governmental entities and utilities, in eminent domain and condemnation matters.
Advise clients on all phases of eminent domain proceedings and property disputes.
Manage a broad range of litigation tasks, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, preparing for depositions, and attending hearings.
Collaborate with a skilled team of attorneys to develop strategies, negotiate resolutions, and advocate for clients’ interests in complex property disputes.
Provide exceptional legal counsel and support to clients navigating commercial real estate-related litigation.
