Qualifications
Education: HS/GED
Licenses/Certifications:
American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Provider certification
Certified as a Surgical Technologist (CST) by National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) OR Tech in Surgery - Certified (CST-NCCT) by National Center Competency Testing (NCCT)
Hospital's Operating Room within a Level 1 Trauma Center, a collaborative team environment is embraced, and you will have the opportunity to learn complex procedures in all specialties. also offers a clinical ladder for Surgical Technologists.
Responsibilities:Assists surgical team during operative procedures. Arranges and inventories sterile set-up for operations, and hands items as needed to the operative team. Assists in preparing and moving patients, and in cleaning the operating rooms. The Surgical Technician is responsible for the provision of surgical care to meet identified patient outcomes, and to achieve the goals of the facility as directed by the Registered Nurse.
Requirements
Post High School Diploma Program
Graduate of a Surgical Tech program- required.
Certification and Licensure
BLS
IDEAL CANDIDATEIdeal candidate would be an experienced Surgical Tech. We are open to Surg Techs who have experience in any specialty (we are seeking an experienced cardiac Surg Tech in addition to Surg Techs experienced in any other specialty). Must have at least 1 full year of Surgical Tech experience to be considered. Must have graduated from a Surgical Technology program, and if not certified, must meet state guidelines for exemption
