Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer) to join our dynamic team in Santa Rosa, CA. In this role, you will perform diagnostic sonographic procedures as ordered by a staff physician, with minimal supervision from the Supervisor of Imaging Services. Your expertise will be crucial in providing high-quality patient care and accurate diagnostic information.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecologic, vascular, and small parts imaging.
Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
Prepare and maintain accurate patient records and reports.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret and evaluate diagnostic results.
Maintain ultrasound equipment and ensure it is operating efficiently.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in sonographic techniques and technology.
Adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards, including HIPAA.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound/Medical Sonography program.
Certification: National Certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) upon hire.
Basic Life Support (BLS): National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience: At least 2 years of recent experience as a Medical Sonographer in an acute care setting.
Skills: Proficiency in using advanced ultrasound equipment and software. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
