Business Analyst - Product Development
Our client is one of the largest global apparel retailers, and parent company of a portfolio of apparel brands. They control the entire apparel making process from design through manufacture to retail and are going through digital transformation of all processes to become a global leader in the coming years.
This role will work with the R&D and Merchandising teams and lead business issue discussion, resolution definition and system implementation, and will be responsible for PJ outcomes such as sales uplift, cost reduction and operation efficiency improvement.
This will require an understanding of business processes in product development. He/she is expected to collaborate with colleagues across regions (particularly US and Asia), cross brands, building key partnerships both within the company and externally to realize change and results, as well as be responsible of aligning priorities with senior leadership in US and overseas to deliver and scale results globally.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Proactively involve business stakeholders such as R&D, MD team and lead business issue identification & resolution discussion, and responsible for project outcome
● Lead business process improvement, system implementation and operation stabilization
● Lead discussions between US and overseas corporate offices
● Manage project outcomes (cost/schedule/quality)
● Manage project budget and vendor contract negotiation
MAIN REQUIREMENTS:
● Minimum 5 years’ business consulting or system implementation experience
● Minimum 5 years’ experience working in retail industry
● Experience in business process analysis, issue identification and future business process development
● Experience in implementing merchandising systems.
● Knowledge of fashion industry product development
● Some Project Management experience is preferred
Location
● NYC office based 3 days per week
● This position requires you to attend regular meetings with the overseas team from 6:00pm to 8:00pm EST at least 3 days a week. These meetings can be attended remotely and the company offers flexible work hours in consideration of this.
Salary range is $120,000-$130,000 + 10% bonus paid at 5% increments 2x per year
