As the Warehouse Supervisor you will oversee the warehouse activities in this North Central Illinois region for our client. This role ensures smooth operations, productivity, and compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
Manage warehouse productivity and report on performance. 3 Direct Reports.
Oversee accurate and timely order shipping and receiving.
Ensure inventory accuracy for all transfers, including returns.
Conduct cycle counts, research discrepancies, and adjust in the system as needed.
Maintain warehouse records, prepare reports, and ensure safety and cleanliness.
Train staff, ensure proper use of equipment, and handle maintenance needs.
Monitor certifications (e.g., driver’s licenses, forklift).
Provide leadership, supervision, and orientation for new and temporary workers.
Handle disciplinary matters and work to foster a positive warehouse culture.
Support audits, cost-saving initiatives, and continuous improvements.
Act as a backup for the Warehouse Manager when needed.
Requirements:
A Bachelors or Associates degree in Accounting, Supply Chain, or related field such as Business or Operations Management would be ideal.
2-3 years of experience in a warehouse or operational environment.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
